World Health Day Celebration

World Health Day Celebration World Health Day-2021 Theme: Building a fairer, healthier world for everyone” Akal College of nursing is the one and only nursing college in state of Himachal Pradesh offering Bachelors (2008), Masters (2014) & Doctorate (2021) in nursing has always set its milestones far beyond the imagination in a defined time series.  Among this COVID-19 pandemic the college has opted for online mode of teaching. Along with academic routines the college is ahead in all other extracurricular activities.  Moving further, college has taken this initiative to celebrate World Health Day on 7th April, 2021 which is themed as “Building a fairer, healthier world for everyone”. The college has organized a cascade of events such as declamation, debate, poetry recitation, quiz, extempore and scientific paper presentation starting from 7th April to 14th April, 2021. Creativity Club

Creativity Club Today on 30th January, 2021The  “Creativity Club” of Akal College of Nursing has organised “Stone painting” competition for Saturday activity. There were two type of competitions organized: One was individual stone painting for those students who where at home i.e. B. Sc. Nursing 1st yr, 2nd yr and 3rd yr and one for group stone painting for those students who are in the campus. Among the individual stone painting first position was given to: ** Shilpa chaudhary student of bsc nursing 2nd yr and Kanika student of bsc nursing 1st yr **Second position was grabbed by Ms. Manisha Kumari student of bsc nursing 1st yr **3rd position goes to Ms. Sneh Chauhan student of bsc nursing 2nd yr. From the nursing books to online teaching

“The power of God is with you at all times; through the activities of mind, senses, breathing, and emotions; and is constantly doing all the work using you as a mere instrument.”   From the nursing books to online teaching and simulation pattern of examination             Starting its journey from 2008 with setup of several milestones: Bachelors (2008), first International Nursing Conference (2008) & Masters in Nursing (2015) the Akal College of Nursing has always worked towards proficiency since its inception. Setting another milestone today Akal College of Nursing has become the first nursing college to start with the world class state-of-the-art simulation pattern/facilities (2020)  for the examination of outgoing batch. This is done to ensure that the  teaching and learning process of nursing students should not get disturbed due to such pandemics. Many scenarios were created based on COIVD-19, antenatal care, under 5 children, environmental sanitation, immunization etc.. the students were guided to use PPE kits, social distancing norms. 60,000 students in five states of north India participate In the webinar, set a global record, total participation was 82,500. As many as 60,000 students studying in 130 schools of Akal Academies on Friday participated in a webinar to mark International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.    Renowned psychiatrists and counsellor, Dr (Col.) Rajinder Singh, director, Akal Drug De-Addiction Centers, Baru Sahib and Sangrur), Dr NL Gupta, senior psychologist at Akal Drug De-Addiction Center, Baru Sahib, were the key speakers at the event. They addressed 60,000 children and youth emphasising on the hazards of drug-addiction and illegal trafficking.
