World Health Day-2021

Theme: Building a fairer, healthier world for everyone”

Akal College of nursing is the one and only nursing college in state of Himachal Pradesh offering Bachelors (2008), Masters (2014) & Doctorate (2021) in nursing has always set its milestones far beyond the imagination in a defined time series.  Among this COVID-19 pandemic the college has opted for online mode of teaching. Along with academic routines the college is ahead in all other extracurricular activities.  Moving further, college has taken this initiative to celebrate World Health Day on 7th April, 2021 which is themed as “Building a fairer, healthier world for everyone”. The college has organized a cascade of events such as declamation, debate, poetry recitation, quiz, extempore and scientific paper presentation starting from 7th April to 14th April, 2021.

This online gala meet will be graced by Dr. Davinder Singh, Vice-chancellor, Eternal University),  Dr. Amrik Singh Ahluwalia, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Eternal University,     Dr. Neelam Kaur, Adviser, Health and Education, Kalgidhar Trust,     Dr. Anupama K, Principal, ACN. The students will be participating in the event through online mode of entry. The extra ordinary performers will be ranked as first, second & third as per their performance. The valedictory ceremony is supposed to be held on 14th April, 2021.

Today on 7th April, 2021 this online event got started at 4pm with inaugural speech by Dr. Anupama K, Principal, ACN followed by welcome of guest of  honour Dr. Davinder Singh, Vice-chancellor, Eternal University. There were total 12 students who have participated and a huge no of audience has witnessed the event online. Dr. Davinder Singh has appreciated the efforts taken by Faculty and students to make this event as huge success. In his speech Dr. Davinder Singh has highlighted the tireless efforts of the medical professionals who were on the toes during and after this COVID 19. At the end the he has prayed for the wellbeing of humanity.
