EVENT PROCEEDINGS

Moderator introduced all the participants of model making in which 1ST Year, 2nd year and 3rd year of bachelor of nursing programme were present. Moderator presented their theme of model. The classes were divided into 3 groups.

BSc Nursing 1st year made a model on the basis of biodiversity, focusing life on earth, made by renewable or waste material i.e, paper, plastic, thermocol sheet, etc. they showed the life on earth by making a hut made by wood and paper, a mountain by soil, fields and forest by grass and leaves and pond by waste plastic bottle, etc. They showed the importance conservation, using biodiversity in sustainable manner and to share the benefits of biological diversity. They focussed on efforts should be made to preserve the species that are endangered and even the preservation of varieties of food crops, forage plants, timber trees, etc.

BSc Nursing 2nd year made a model on the natural ventilation, process of supplying air to and removing air from an indoor space without using mechanical systems. It refers to the flow of external air to an indoor space as a result of pressure differences arising from natural forces. They showed that ventilation can be effective if there must be exchange between outdoor air and room air. The plantation of trees around the house can also provide fresh air in the house. They focussed on to make awareness about the disease due to lack of good ventilation, to initiate the people for the use of natural sources of air.

BSc Nursing 3rd year made a model on depletion of natural resources. It focuses that due to urbanisation there is a havoc effect that causes deforestation, so the focus should be on conservation of forests. As due to the development of roads and various infrastructure causes water seepage in the soil which leads to rise in temperature. Due to urbanisation, illegal logging and subsistence farming causes soil erosion, global warming, loss of biodiversity etc. The conservation of forests and rural habitat can be effective in preservation of natural resources.
