Event Description
On 24th May 2025, the Nature and Environment Club of Eternal University, in collaboration with Akal College of Nursing and the Institution’s Innovative Council, organized a vibrant and eco-conscious event titled “Junk Modeling: From Scrap to Snap.”
Held from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, the competition brought together 10 enthusiastic student teams (41 participants), each tasked with transforming everyday waste into functional and creative models. From discarded plastic, cardboard, and plastic waste, students crafted impressive projects such as chalk and duster boxes, wall hangings, photo frames, flower and flower vases, painted bottles, and wall organizers — all reflecting innovation and sustainability.
The event aimed to raise awareness about environmental responsibility while promoting creativity, teamwork, and the principles of “Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.” A panel of faculty judges evaluated the entries based on creativity, utility, material usage, and overall presentation.
The event concluded with a strong message: even the most overlooked materials can spark meaningful change when imagination meets purpose.
