(i) For State Quota Seats:

Only those Bonafide Himachali female candidates qualifying the Entrance Test and are fulfilling the eligibility criteria as prescribed in the Prospectus.

(ii) For Management Quota Seats:

All the candidates having qualified the Entrance Test irrespective of Himachali Bonafide status will be considered in order of merit in the Entrance Test subject to fulfilling the minimum educational and age criteria as prescribed in the Prospectus.

(iii) However, in case the seats under State Quota in the college remain vacant even after exhausting the merit list of qualifies Himachali Bonafide candidates in the entrance Test, the remaining vacant seats will be filled up by adopting the following admission procedure:

(a) 1st preference will be given in order of merit of 10+2 qualifying examination of those Bonafide Himachali candidates who have appeared in the B.Sc. Nursing Entrance Test.

(b) In case the seats in the State Quota remain vacant even after exhausting the candidates available under the 1st preference then the candidates at the top of merit list of Management Quota as per the final merit of the Entrance Test will be converted to the State Quota Seats to fill-up the remaining vacancies in the State Quota. In such a case the candidates so converted shall be charged the fee payable by the State Quota candidate.

(iv) In case the seats under Management Quota in the college also remain vacant after exhausting the merit of B.Sc. Nursing Entrance Test, the following procedure will be followed:

(a) 1st preference will be given in order of merit of 10+2 qualifying examination of all the candidates irrespective of Himachali Bonafide status who have appeared in the B.Sc. Nursing Entrance Test.

(b) In case the seats in the Management Quota remain vacant even after exhausting the candidates available under the 1st preference then the respective nursing institution will be allowed to notify such vacancies under Management Quota seats to be filled up on the basis of merit of candidates in 10+2 qualifying examination (as per INC) irrespective of Bonafide status subject to the fulfillment of minimum educational and age criteria as prescribed in the Prospectus. However, in such cases the institution concerned shall adopt fair, transparent and merit based system of selection under the supervision of representative of Directorate of Medical Education & Research, H.P.

GUIDELINES

i) Entrance Examination:
(a) The examination shall consists of one written paper only in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry (including Organic Chemistry), Biology and English (including General Knowledge/current affairs) in accordance with the syllabi of studies based on NCERT books of the academic session according to which the 10+2 (includes 11th and 12th classes) examination was conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education in the year of the competitive examination. The medium of examination shall be English.

(b) This Entrance Test will be of MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) Objective Type.

1. There will be only 4 (Four) options in each question i.e. A, B, C & D and one of the choice will be correct answer.
2. Total questions will be 100 (one hundred questions).
3. Each question will carry 1 (one) mark.
4. The duration of the Entrance Test will be 2 (two) hours.
5. There will be No Negative Marking for a wrong answer.
6. The written test is of objective type and in English language on the following

(c) The minimum marks required for the selection will be 50% for candidates belonging to General category and 40% for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Schedules Tribes/OBC & 45% in case of Physical Handicapped categories candidates.

ii) Criteria For Merit List:
In case of non-availability of eligible/qualified candidates in particular subcategory, the seat reserved for such sub-category will be converted to its main category and further in the eventuality of non-availability of qualified candidates in its main category the vacancy will be filled up from the respective sub category of General category and further in case of non-availability of qualified candidate in this category also it will be converted and filled from the General category.

iii) Inter-se-merit:
If two or more candidates obtain equal aggregate marks in the entrance examination for admission to B.Sc. Nursing 4 years course then their inter-se merit for admission to the B.Sc. Nursing Course shall be determined on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in order of merit in Biology, Chemistry, Physics & English in the Entrance Test. Even if there remains a tie after exhausting the above procedure then the candidate older in age will be given preference.
