Registration: Females (40 registrations) 2. Health Assessment: a) BP monitoring b) Height and weight c) BMI As per the action plan following activities has been done Ms. Geetanjli welcomed the group and introduces all the speakers of the day. Ms. Jasandeep Kaur has explained about antenatal care and diet. She also demonstrated the procedure of Nutritious laddoo. Ms.Jyoti has discussed postnatal hygiene, care, and diet. Ms. Pretty has discussed the importance of breastfeeding and demonstration on mummy restraint. Ms. Meenakshi has demonstrated the techniques of breastfeeding and latching. Ms. Geetanjli and Ms. Jyoti have demonstrated the various antenatal and postnatal exercises. Ms. Simarjot kaur assistant professor has taken feedback from the group and given the vote of thanks. In the end, Ms. Pooja, senior staff nurse, CHC, Sangrah has expressed the views about the program and she extended her thanks to the students for the wonderful presentation and arrangement of the program. World Health Day

Universal Health Coverage: Everyone, Everywhere Venue: Eternal University Auditorium Organizers: Literary Club (Akal College of Nursing) Participants: B. Sc. Nursing 1st, 3rd year & M. Sc. Nursing 1st, 2nd year. World Health Day 2019 was observed on the 6th of April this year. This day is dedicated to spreading awareness about equal healthcare facilities worldwide, the importance of health and wellness, and to kill all the myths around health. Akal College of Nursing has organized a seminar on World Health Day. A quiz competition was also organized at the end of the competition. Dr. Joseph G has congratulated the participants of the seminar and has given the closing speech. International Women’s Day Celebration-2019

International Women’s Day-2019  As a part of ‘Community Awareness Activities’ our students of  M. Sc. Nursing 2nd Year (Community Health Nursing Depth.) & B. Sc. Nursing 2nd year students of Akal College of Nursing has celebrated ‘International Women’s Day-2019’ with full enthusiasm & courage in Lana Bhalta Village near to Baru Sahib. The guests for the event were Pradhan of the village Ms. Rupinder Kaur & Ms. Maharbani Kaur Khalsa.  Highlights of the activities: 1. All the women’s of the village Lana Bhalta were called by the students so as to celebrate the Women’s day. A total of 60 villagers have participated in the activity. 2. The celebration was started with an opening speech on “International Women’s Day-2019” based on theme “Think equal, build smart, innovate for change”. 3.  The Villagers were educated about: When & how the ‘International Women’s Day’ was started, its Importance,  well known aspects related to women’s history and much more.  4. The students have done a role play too on ‘Gender equality’. 5. Making of ‘Herbal Kit

Saturday activity in Anal College of Nursing on 23rd Feb., 19 was organized by ‘Eco-Friendly Club’ on Making of ‘Herbal Kit’ and the organizers were Ms. Viji M(Assistant Prof., ACN), Ms. Jasneet Kaur (Nursing Tutor, ACN), Ms. Sangeeta Sharma (Nursing Tutor, ACN) @ 2:30 pm the competition got started and got over by 5pm.All the students of 5 clubs were instructed to make 10 Herbal remedies out of all the natural sources which has therapeutic effect on human health. All the students and club mentors have enthusiastically participated in the competition to grab the topmost position.
